The Department of Justice is investigating White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting suspect Cole Allen’s links to the leftist online group, “The Wide Awakes,” Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said Monday.

“Of course, we’re investigating that,” Blanche told a reporter who asked about his ties to that and other possible left-wing groups.

“The positive and negatives of this type of case is that is that there’s a lot of people investigating this man right now, including the FBI,” he added, noting that he was aware Allen may have been a video game developer for a “shooter-style, RPG game.”
