Andoni Iraola next club odds as manager decides to leave Bournemouth | Football
Speculation over Andoni Iraola’s future has intensified after it emerged that the Spaniard will leave his position as head coach of Bournemouth at the end of the season.
Iraola took over the reins at Bournemouth back in June 2023, putting pen to paper on a two-year contract at the Vitality Stadium following Gary O’Neil’s dismissal.
In that time, the 43-year-old has further established himself as one of the most highly regarded young managers in European football with his work on the south coast.
Last season, Iraola’s team racked up a club-record total of 56 points in the Premier League while also achieving Bournemouth’s joint-highest finish of ninth.
Iraola’s current deal is due to expire in the summer and Bournemouth had been pushing for the former Spain international to agree an extension on his stay.
But discussions over a proposed renewal ultimately came to nothing and the Cherries have already begun work behind the scenes to identity possible successors for Iraola, whose side sit 11th in the Premier League table this season.
‘It has been an honour to manage AFC Bournemouth and I am proud of what we have achieved together,’ Iraola said in a brief statement on the club’s official website.
‘I’m thankful to the players and staff that I’ve worked with, as well as Bill Foley (chairman), who have all made my time here so special.
‘As for the fans, you have continued to show your fantastic support to myself and the team, and for that I will always be grateful.
‘I feel this is the right moment for me to step away, but I will always carry fantastic memories of this club.’
Bournemouth chairman Bill Foley added: ‘Andoni has been instrumental in shaping the direction of this football club over the past three seasons.
‘He brought intensity, innovation, and a clear philosophy that elevated AFC Bournemouth both on and off the pitch.
‘We are incredibly thankful for his leadership and will always have great memories of our time working together, as well as the things we accomplished.’
Andoni Iraola next club odds
Iraola has naturally turned heads and won himself plenty of admirers with the way in which he has managed to transform Bournemouth’s fortunes since picking up the pieces just under three years ago.
In recent months, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool have been linked amid doubts over their managerial situations, with all three clubs enduring mixed seasons in the English top flight.
The ex-Rayo Vallecano boss has also been tipped as a potential successor to Pep Guardiola should his fellow countryman decide to step down as head coach of Manchester City at the end of the campaign.

Betfair spokesperson James Mackie explained: ‘After it was announced that he will leave Bournemouth at the end of the season, many fans will be wondering where Andoni Iraola’s career will take him next and Athletic Bilbao have emerged as the early favourites to be his next destination at 17/20.

Bournemouth manager for first game of next season odds
Iraola will leave behind hefty shoes to fill when he manages Bournemouth for the last time away to Nottingham Forest on the final day of the Premier League season on May 24.
Betfair have Marco Rose as their current frontrunner (10/3) to take over the reins heading into the 2026/27 season, ahead of the likes of Eddie Howe (5/1), Kieran McKenna (11/2), Ange Postecoglou (7/1) and Thomas Frank (17/2).
Rose found himself jobless after being sacked by RB Leipzig last month and the 49-year-old German is believed to be targeting a speedy return to top-level management.
