Scandal-plagued far-left NY House hopeful Darializa Avila Chevalier attended anti-Israel rally — day after Oct. 7 attacks

Scandal-plagued far-left congressional hopeful Darializa Avila Chevalier attended an anti-Israeli rally in the Big Apple one day after Hamas’ horrific Oct. 7 massacre in Israel, according to reports.

The 32-year-old radical with a twisted history of bashing Israel joined a hateful Times Square mob on Oct. 8, 2023, that torched the Israeli flag and flashed swastikas after hundreds of Jews were slaughtered by Islamic terrorists in a surprise attack on the Jewish state.

Chevalier, who is gunning for Democratic Rep. Adriano Espaillat’s seat in New York’s 13th House District, justified her attendance by declaring she is simply a lifelong advocate of Palestine.

“I can only say I have been advocating for the human rights of Palestinians for my adult life,” the already under-fire democratic socialist told City & State this week.

“And as someone who has seen a pattern, whenever anything happens on the ground (in Israel), there’s always a really outsized reaction that costs thousands of people their lives. And that is what I was worried about. At the core of it all for me is human dignity,” she said.

“And I think so often we get lost in the ‘well on this date, and on that date’ when it’s all cyclical, if we don’t get to the core of how we disregard the human rights and dignity of some people over others.”

Chevalier was caught in previously published photos and videos rallying alongside the extremist crowd.

The embattled candidate has been endorsed by fellow Israel critic Mayor Zohran Mamdani as she hopes to represent Upper Manhattan and the West Bronx by winning the June 23 primary.

Hizzoner’s support comes as Chevalier  faces mounting outrage over a series of explosive, unearthed social media posts where she spewed unhinged bile – savagely trashing cops and the military, slamming the US as a “f—king disgrace” and rejecting the existence of Israel.

In August 2020, the she retweeted a post that read “Israel suddenly disappears, your third emoji is your reaction,” with the reply “Trick question — Israel doesn’t exist!”

Following the Oct. 7, 2023, attack, Chevalier blasted Israel as an apartheid state committing genocide – and publicly dodged condemning Hamas’ deadly assault when asked directly at a March Broadway Democrats club forum, the outlet reported.

“The premise of that question, to me, ignores the 75 years of occupation that the Palestinian people have been subjected to and the conditions that folks were were living under before this genocide began,” she responded in part.

“Palestinians have been living under a state of dispossession, of exile, of apartheid for 75 years.”

With Election Day looming and scrutiny exploding, Chevalier is scrambling to brush off her toxic past, insisting she won’t relitigate her old political stances – including a sudden pivot on Hamas.

“Yes, I do condemn Hamas,” she told WNYC Thursday, before immediately taking another jab at Israel.

“As far as I know, the US does not send a single dime to Hamas. What we fund is the Israeli military.
