Evoluto’s 355 Turns the Ferrari F355 into Something Even Better

Ferrari built the F355 in the 1990s as a pure driver’s machine with a screaming V8 and timeless lines. Evoluto took that foundation and refined every inch without losing the original character. The result sits ready for a short list of owners who want analog excitement tuned for today. Development stretched across years of careful work. Engineers started with a donor F355 and validated every factory specification before touching a single part.
Prototypes accumulated almost 5,000 miles on the track and 10,000 miles on the engine dyno. Durability testing completed 20,000 miles by April, paving the way for production to begin this spring. Deliveries begin later this year. The bodywork received a sharper contour, widening the track by 77 millimeters in the front and 66 millimeters in the rear. Carbon fiber panels reduce weight, and redesigned hard points improve shape for current tires. As a result of the increased scrub radius, the steering reaction becomes more precise. Pop-up headlights now employ LED bulbs, side intakes are deeper for better cooling, and a hydraulic mechanism elevates the nose as needed. Gold-forged magnesium wheels save four kilos per corner while filling the arches precisely.

The original 3.5-liter flat-plane crank V8 provides power, which has been upgraded with over 200 new and revised components. Ported cylinder heads, custom camshafts, and reworked internals minimize spinning mass while improving breathing. At 8,000 rpm, output reaches 420 horsepower, with a redline of 8,500. Torque is rated at 400 Newton meters. Drivers looking for additional power can opt for the 3.7-liter engine, which produces 480 horsepower at 9000 rpm and 450 Newton meters. In either case, the engine spins effortlessly and provides power in a linear burst that peaks at the top of the rev range.

Exhaust note remains perfectly natural. Equal-length stainless headers feed a custom system that boosts the sound without using artificial means. A recent tunnel run recorded the entire voice at 9,000 rpm, revealing a clear, melodic tone that feels more alive than the factory version. The six-speed manual gearbox has new internals and improved ratios in first and second, so shifts require attention while rewarding every thoughtful movement.

Strategic carbon reinforcing boosted chassis stiffness by 23%. Suspension arms, uprights, and anti-roll bars were totally modified to accommodate three-way adjustable dampers introduced with R53. The steering uses a faster hydraulic rack, which reduces lock-to-lock revolutions from three and a quarter to two. Brembo brakes feature six cylinders in the front and four in the rear. The entire automobile weighs one thousand two hundred fifty kilos dry, which is around one hundred kilograms lighter than a factory F355 from the time.

Inside the cabin, there are no screens. In addition to real dials and rotary knobs, the space is filled with carbon fiber and machined metal. Climate control operates with modern efficiency, and approximately 90% of the wire harness was changed for reliability. Seats and trim are based on the original design, but with higher-quality materials that feel appropriate for a modern vehicle. Only 55 examples will ever leave the shop. The base price is £595,000, before the donor car, taxes, and accessories, which increase the total to about £800,000. The order book was completely filled months ago, and any late requests are placed on a waiting list.
