Ximena Saenz: The grounded reality behind the glamour

Adolescence is hard and confusing. Those who claim otherwise are either naive or have been blessed circumstances that enable such comfort and certainty. It becomes unimaginably difficult when combined with the complete and utter upheaval that occurs when a young family immigrates to a new country and a new home. For Ximena Saenz, this isn’t a hypothetical challenge or a thought experiment, it’s a look back on what she had to endure and conquer to eventually become the social media powerhouse she is today.

Growing up as a dedicated athlete and actor, the young Mexican was always ambitious and energetic, working hard at what she enjoyed, even when that hard work was painful, unpleasant or downright boring. This work ethic and personality made her a star both on the sporting field and the stage, a young woman with the grinding determination and resilience of someone far more mature. While the athletics and drama outlets would eventually fade away, the attributes that made Ximena a success in her youthful endeavors would embolden her. She would bring that tenacity to the social media world, and in doing so, would not rely solely on her natural beauty. Instead she intended to differentiate herself from the countless other beautiful women trying to conquer the social media industry How? With an unmatched commitment to her work, to her followers, and to her own sense of how she wanted to present herself to the world. 

It may be a surprise, especially after seeing the confidence she exudes from in front of a camera, but being in the spotlight isn’t a natural home for Ximena Saenz. In fact, she points out that she really enjoys her privacy and the ability to focus on the real world and real people around her, especially when so much of her professional life can at times feel artificial or at least detached from her non-professional endeavors. So while she continues to produce quality content and build a genuine community. Ms. Saenz is already dreaming of a day when she can translate this success into a less public-focused amalgamation of her ambitions and professional goals. 

A woman of strong faith and an emphasis on family over everything else, Ximena’s actual life is firmly grounded in a way a life on a platform or app is never going to be. She’s proud of her work, and the empire she’s built across the social platforms, but she still is focused on a future of success built to her specifications and not the expectations of others. 

Perhaps behind these unorthodox characteristics for a star influencer is where we can find the truth behind Ximena’s scorching ascent into the stratosphere of social media stardom. Whereas others create an idyllic world in their images and expect the work behind the camera to also be glamorous and pleasurable, Ximena’s grinding work ethic and relentless personality empower her to achieve her persona and public image of beauty, sensuality and glamor, but from a place of tactile, grounded reality. Where the people around you are more important than those who follow your social channels. Where the quality of one’s character is more important than the quantity of one’s followers. And where the lessons of one’s youth apply and enormously impact our adult lives, even in ways we never could have imagined.
