Californians praise dystopian view of state under Dem control
An eerie doomsday music video depicting California as a dystopian state of corruption and failed political policies has gone viral on social media.
The video, posted by Miguel Fornia on X and shared by Elon Musk, has already garnered over 37 million views.
To the cover of “California Dreamin’” by The Mommas & The Papas, the parody stars Governor Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, with gang members setting cars on fire.
“Corruption at the top, arrogance on display,” the video’s lyrics sing, criticizing Newsom’s response to the Palisade’s Fire.
It also features disgraced Congressman and former gubernatorial candidate Eric Swalwell, as well as Congresswoman Maxine Waters and Sen. Adam Schiff.
The video pokes fun at several controversial policies, including the state’s high-speed rail that has ballooned to a staggering $231 billion.
“Hard to take a walk, communities in decay,” the lyrics continue as the video highlights LA’s homelessness problem.
President Donald Trump is later seen playing the flute in front of some of the state’s mot iconic landmarks, including Disneyland, the Golden Gate Bridge and Griffith Observatory.
The video ends with the late-Senator Dianne Feinstein as a talking skeleton. “I’m so sorry,” she says.
Musk reposted the video with the caption: “Banger.” Another commented wrote: “Let’s take California back out of the clutches of socialism.”
Another commented: “My hometown. Makes me sick. Guess you really can’t go home again, they ruined it.”
And one more added: “We need a change! Vote Marxist Bass out and vote Spencer Pratt in. If this leaked phone call from Karen Bass two days before the inferno that obliterated the palisades doesn’t give you chills and wonder if this was intentional – if she knew it was coming – I don’t know what will.”
