Parwani, a cricket coach and professional cricketer, believes that the United States has the potential to develop players who can become world-class cricketers capable of competing with the best teams in the world.

“With the rise of youth academies, Minor League Cricket, and Major League Cricket, the United States is quickly becoming an emerging cricket nation with strong potential for future global success,” Parwani says.

Mentorship impact

He believes that reaching that level will require more than league expansion alone. In his view, young players need consistent technical coaching from an early stage, regular match exposure, and clear development pathways that help them progress step by step. He also notes that many developing cricket markets can benefit from stronger systems around game awareness, tactical decision-making, and long-term athlete preparation.

Parwani says mentorship can play an important role in closing those gaps by giving players guidance beyond skills training. This can include helping athletes understand preparation standards, manage pressure, build discipline, and adapt to higher levels of competition. He believes that when coaching structures and mentorship work together, the United States can strengthen its player pipeline and compete more consistently on the international stage.

A youthful passion lays a foundation in India

Born and raised in India, Parwani discovered his love for cricket over 15 years ago. He progressed through years of competitive play while developing a strong technical understanding of the game, experiences that helped shape both his playing career and coaching philosophy. As his career advanced, he also began working with younger athletes, focusing on skill development, discipline, and match preparation.

Since then, he worked diligently to develop his skills and become a professional cricketer. Later, he also mentored younger players to refine their technical abilities. This combination of competition and mentorship provided the foundation for the development-focused approach he would later bring to the United States.

“Very early in my career, I discovered that coaching and mentorship allowed me to create a lasting impact on the sport. Helping talented players unlock their potential and progress to higher levels of cricket became one of my greatest motivations,” says Parwani.

Parwani says effective mentorship goes beyond instruction, combining technical guidance, match awareness, discipline, and confidence-building to help players perform consistently. In his view, structured coaching can help young athletes refine their skills, adapt to competitive environments, and prepare for advancement into stronger leagues and representative pathways.

Players that Parwani trained have gone on to have professional and international careers in cricket. Watching them succeed has solidified Parwani’s belief that “mentorship and technical development are essential to building successful athletes.” Their progression, he says, reflects how the right support systems can help promising players move from potential to measurable achievement.

Moving to the United States to grow his career

Parwani moved to the United States in 2022 to work with the cricket community, and in 2025, he was granted an O-1A visa for his extraordinary ability in athletics. He was sponsored by MLC Academy Philadelphia LLC, where he continues to serve as a coach dedicated to youth cricket development and a mentor.

After relocating to the United States, Parwani’s work became increasingly focused on developing young players within an expanding cricket system. Drawing on his experience as both a professional cricketer and mentor, he works with athletes to strengthen technical skills, improve game awareness, and prepare for more competitive environments.

In his coaching role, he trains young players and hones their technical skills so they may enter competitive cricket. His coaching also emphasizes consistency, discipline, and structured progression, to help players move confidently through youth and league pathways.

“My long-term vision is to expand mentorship opportunities and training systems so that more young athletes across the United States can benefit from professional coaching and structured development programs,” says Parwani.

Cricket players from across the United States have actively sought out Parwani’s expertise, driven by his proven track record as both a high-level competitor and a successful coach in India. Many have pursued opportunities to train under his guidance, but his current visa limits his work to his sponsoring organization. Despite this constraint, Parwani maintains a clear vision for the sport’s future, firmly believing that with the right development systems, the United States can emerge as a competitive force on the international cricket stage.

USA cricket training and cricket mentorship

Parwani plays in the Cricket Minor League for The Philadelphians as an all-rounder, mastering both batting and bowling.

He is also a head coach and team selector for the Philly Crushers U13 team, which has excelled under his leadership.

In March 2026, Parwani was also involved in on-field coaching during the U11 Warhawks Tournament, where the team won the championship. The result reflects his continued hands-on involvement in competitive youth cricket and player development at the grassroots level.

Parwani has helped multiple athletes advance to NAYCA Zonal and Regional Tournaments. These tournaments are essential to identifying future state- and national-level talent. Through his coaching, Parwani works with players on technical refinement, match awareness, fitness standards, and mental preparation so they are better equipped for higher-level competition. He says progression into these tournaments often reflects consistent development over time, with players gaining the confidence and experience needed to compete in stronger pathways. His role also includes helping young athletes understand the expectations of representative cricket and how to continue improving beyond each milestone. “One of my greatest aspirations is to help train players who will represent the United States internationally and compete for Olympic medals. Through mentorship, technical training, and structured development programs, I hope to contribute to building a strong cricketing legacy in the United States,” says Parwani.
