KPMG Canada becomes an OpenAI Elite Partner

KPMG Canada has been named an OpenAI Elite Partner, the highest tier in OpenAI’s partner network, under a new alliance the firm says will help Canadian organizations move AI from experiments into everyday operations.

The alliance pairs OpenAI’s models with KPMG’s work in business transformation, governance, and risk management. The stated focus is embedding AI into the systems and workflows organizations already use, reducing manual work rather than adding standalone tools. It follows a similar alliance KPMG’s US firm announced July 21, also naming them an OpenAI Elite Partner.

KPMG Canada has put more than 3,000 employees on ChatGPT Enterprise and uses OpenAI’s Codex in its Deal Advisory practice to review thousands of pages of transaction documents and financial data, producing review-ready analysis in a fraction of the time manual review takes.

“Having enabled more than 3,000 employees with ChatGPT Enterprise throughout the firm, we’ve seen firsthand how advanced AI capabilities can help transform how work gets done,” says Stephanie Terrill, Canadian Managing Partner of Digital Transformation at KPMG Canada.

The alliance also includes a cybersecurity component. Through the OpenAI Daybreak Cyber Partner Program, KPMG will integrate OpenAI models into AI-powered security solutions for clients, aimed at threat detection and security operations.

“Canadian organizations are ready to move beyond pilots and put AI into production at enterprise scale,” says Ksenia Chumachenko, Head of Global Alliances at OpenAI.

The through-line across client work, KPMG’s internal systems, and the cybersecurity partnership is that AI moves from something organizations pilot to something embedded in how work runs day to day.
