Deranged lover slits girlfriend’s throat inside NYC home — then calmly lounges on sofa: sources

A deranged boyfriend fatally slit his girlfriend’s throat inside their Brooklyn apartment early Sunday morning – and then calmly lounged on a sofa as he waited for cops to arrive, sources said.

Officers found the 41-year-old victim with multiple stab mounts and her throat slashed after they were called for an assault in progress at the intersection of Cooper Street and Irving Avenue in the hip nabe of Bushwick around 10 a.m., police said.

Responding cops had heard the woman crying for help from a nearby townhouse, saying she was being stabbed, according to sources.

Authorities on scene tried to get in through the front door of the apartment, but had to hop through a back window to get into the building, sources said.

Once inside, cops were greeted by a gory scene.

The victim was laid out on the floor of her living room, with a slashed throat in addition to the multiple stab wounds, sources said.

The man who had done her in was sitting calmly nearby on a sofa when cops entered the room, according to sources. He was taken into custody but had not yet been charged by Sunday evening.

EMS rushed the woman to Brookdale Hospital in critical condition, where she later died, according to authorities.

Sources said that the maniac boyfriend had at least 20 priors, including an assault, robberies, and burglaries.

The two had one prior domestic incident, according to sources.
