Minnesota Teacher of the Year finalist seen in BDSM performance
A sixth-grade educator withdrew from consideration for Minnesota’s Teacher of the Year award after photos of him dressed in leather bondage while participating in an XXX-rated BDSM performance resurfaced online.
Thomas Rosengren, a teacher and theater director in the Atwater Cosmos Grove City public school system, was named one of 11 finalists for the coveted award last week.
On Monday, though, Education Minnesota tweaked its list, adding a brief note that Rosengren “has withdrawn from consideration.”
Alpha News Minnesota reported that the sudden elimination came just four days after it reached out to Education Minnesota inquiring about damning photos that appear to show Rosengren engaged in simulated sex acts on the stage.
In one picture, a fully-clothed Rosengren stood on stage beside two half-naked men. He held up a sign that read, “It’s feeding time on the farm, Cowboy Tommy is feeding six piglets & bull.”
Shortly after, one of the men tore Rosengren’s flannel off, revealing that he was wearing leather bondage, connecting to his waistband. The trio appeared to grind on one another, with one licking Rosengren’s exposed neck. In another photo, the trio mimic sex acts together.
In a separate segment, Rosengren strutted the stage wearing the same bondage outfit — connected to a skimpy leather speedo. He wore a cowboy hat and a tiny Speedo while flaunting his near-nude body to the audience.
He was crowned that year’s “Mr. Minneapolis Eagle” for his performance, according to a profile by The Leather Journal.
The California-based outlet, self-described as a “Leather/BDSM/Fetish Community Publication of Record,” praised Rosengren as dedicated “a boy of service” who was first “collared as a bratty boy” in 2016.
Rosengren inducted himself into the community less than a year after beating lung cancer and an unspecified kidney disease, according to a defunct GoFundMe organized for his medical bills.
He announced that he was cancer-free in September 2015, noting that while he wasn’t fully on the mend just yet, he was making some meaningful progress.
“I have put on weight … some might say too much… have a belly forming… the DAD BOD is in now right?” he wrote.
Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City School District Superintendent Kip Lynk told Alpha News that he couldn’t provide much information on Rosengren without his explicit consent, per the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act.
Rosengren could not be reached for comment.
