Fireworks explosion on NYC street blows fingers off one man, injures two others: cops


A fireworks explosion on a Brooklyn street blew off several of a teen’s fingers and burned two others Sunday morning, cops said. 

The big bang occurred just after 10 a.m. at the intersection of Cropsey Ave. and 17th Ave. in Bath Beach, police said.

The explosion blew several fingers off an 18-year-old’s hand – and burned his face and both hands, according to the NYPD.

A 19-year-old man and a 20-year-old man were also scalded by the blast and suffered burns to the hands and face, cops said.

The three men were all rushed to area hospitals, where they’re listed in stable conditions, according to authorities. 

Police said an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
