John Kennedy\u2019s \u201cMargaret\u201d mostly runs him into the ground.<\/p>\n<p>Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., is going viral after posting a tongue-in-cheek workout video introducing followers to \u201cMargaret\u201d \u2014 his elliptical trainer named after former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher \u2014 while wearing a red bandanna and speaking directly to the camera from his\u00a0Louisiana\u00a0carport.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHey X, I have somebody I\u2019d like you to meet,\u201d Kennedy says at the start of the minute-long video posted to social media Friday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is Margaret. Margaret is my elliptical trainer. I named Margaret after Margaret Thatcher because both kick butt and take names.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kennedy goes on to explain that \u201cMargaret\u201d lives outside under the carport for three reasons: the machine is too heavy to move, his wife \u201cwon\u2019t let\u201d him bring it inside and because he enjoys getting in a workout during Louisiana summers.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Sen. Tell Margaret I think she\u2019s cute but evil.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Others praised Kennedy\u2019s personality and down-home delivery style.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou are a gem to us normal folk Mr. Kennedy.
