I would say the response to that was not positive. He said that he\u2019s been, you know, he said it\u2019s been sort of his worst nightmare,\u201d Trump told \u201cSpecial Report\u201d in an interview that aired Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Trump said he spoke with Xi\u00a0\u201cat length\u201d about Lai\u2019s declining health as the media mogul remains in a Hong Kong prison under reportedly harsh conditions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI said, well, I would appreciate it if you would release him. He\u2019s gotten old and he\u2019s probably not feeling too well, it would be nice,\u201d the president told\u00a0Fox News\u00a0chief political anchor Bret Baier.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI did not feel optimistic.
