Like I was actually trembling because it freaked me out that bad,\u201d she told Fox News Digital.<\/p>\n<p>Walcott said she reported the incident to a young employee at the front desk, who told her there was nothing staff could do because it was company policy. She claims the employee did not check the locker room while she was present.<\/p>\n<p>She said she raised the issue again, four days later, with another staff member because\u00a0she had safety concerns, but she said the employee called her \u201ctransphobic\u201d instead of looking into her claims.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe showed concern until I started telling her that there was a creepy guy in the ladies\u2019 shower on Saturday, nobody checked him out\u2026 then before I could say anything else, she interrupted me, telling me she \u2018thought\u2019 she knew who I meant and what a wonderful woman that is,\u201d Walcott told Fox News Digital.<\/p>\n<p>She said the conversation went downhill from there, alleging the staff member did not address her concerns and instead \u201crepeatedly\u201d called her \u201ctransphobic\u201d before she decided to walk away.<\/p>\n<p>A couple of hours later, Walcott said, the gym\u2019s manager called her to tell her that\u00a0her membership had been canceled\u00a0for a \u201cpolicy violation.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>A New Hampshire woman says Planet Fitness canceled her membership after she complained about seeing a man in the women\u2019s locker room last month. <span class=\"credit\">VICTORALCORN.COM<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cSo I asked her what policy did I violate? I didn\u2019t violate a policy, I asked about one. She didn\u2019t answer me,\u201d Walcott said.<\/p>\n<p>Walcott said she later checked her account online and saw that she had been charged for another month. She also said she found a \u201cMember cancellation or freeze form\u201d in her account that requested cancellation, dated April 15.<\/p>\n<p>A copy of that document, which Fox News Digital cannot authenticate, shows an April 15 cancellation request with a request effective date of May 16. In the comment field, the form says, \u201cNondiscrimination Trans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Walcott alleged the cancellation form was submitted without her authorization and said she believes her signature was forged.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Judy Walcott, a longtime member of a Planet Fitness location in Concord, New Hampshire, told Fox News Digital she felt unsafe after encountering someone she believed was male in the women\u2019s\u00a0locker room near the shower\u00a0area. <span class=\"credit\">Christopher Sadowski<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Walcott said that after seeing she had been charged for an additional month in the days following this incident, she returned to the gym on April 17 to use the remainder of her membership. She said the manager again told her the membership had been canceled, and the two argued over whether she was owed a refund.<\/p>\n<p>Walcott claims the manager told her she was \u201cnot getting a refund\u201d before calling the police.<\/p>\n<p>When officers with the Concord\u00a0Police Department\u00a0arrived, Walcott was given a warning not to trespass on the property.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo she takes a form, signs my name, charges me money, extends my membership, and then calls the cops on me. Like, what the hell? I feel like I live in an upside-down land,\u201d Walcott said.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Walcott said she raised the issue again, four days later, with another staff member because\u00a0she had safety concerns, but she said the employee called her \u201ctransphobic\u201d instead of looking into her claims. <span class=\"credit\">MelissaMN \u2013 stock.adobe.com<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>A copy of the document, labeled \u201corder to stay off property\u201d and reviewed by Fox News Digital, appears to show an officer\u2019s signature, the gym location, and an April 17 date.<\/p>\n<p>Concord Police Department confirmed to Fox News Digital that Walcott \u201cwas formally trespassed from Planet Fitness, 89 Fort Eddy Rd\u201d on April 17.<\/p>\n<p>Walcott said that a few days before the incident, she had emailed Planet Fitness headquarters asking about its transgender policy, but said she received no response.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>She said the conversation went downhill from there, alleging the staff member did not address her concerns and instead \u201crepeatedly\u201d called her \u201ctransphobic\u201d before she decided to walk away. <span class=\"credit\">terryleewhite \u2013 stock.adobe.com<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>She has since reached out to the New Hampshire Attorney General\u2019s office to report the incident and intends to file a consumer complaint.<\/p>\n<p>Walcott says she\u2019s speaking out because she believes the Planet Fitness\u00a0policy is unfair to women.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat does it take? Are we being sacrificed in the name of inclusion?\u201d she asked.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The company also says it aims to provide an \u201cinclusive gym environment\u201d where members feel they belong. <span class=\"credit\">Christopher Sadowski<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Planet Fitness\u00a0says on its website\u00a0that members who identify as transgender \u201cmay use Planet Fitness locker room facilities, bathrooms, showers, and all other facilities\/programs separated by sex based on their self-reported gender identity; these facilities include bathrooms, showers, and all other facilities separated by sex.
