This is 100% legit,\u201d the museum wrote in a Facebook post on May 7.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>According to the citation, a traffic camera recorded the car speeding through a Brooklyn school zone on Ocean Parkway on April 22 at 1:02 p.m., clocking it at 36 mph in a 25 mph zone.<\/p>\n<p>The museum said the vehicle \u2014 a black 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am replica \u2014 has not left the display in its building and has been parked there for years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA traffic camera captured Knight Rider\u2019s KITT speeding down the streets of New York City. He owes us $50!!!!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The museum also shared a photo of the ticket issued by the New York City Department of Finance.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The $50 NYC Department of Finance speeding ticket issued for an alleged 36 mph violation in a Brooklyn school zone. <span class=\"credit\">Volo Museum \/ Facebook<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Museum officials believe the city\u2019s system may have mistakenly linked a novelty \u201cKnight\u201d license plate to the museum\u2019s display vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>The car at the museum is not one of the original screen-used vehicles from \u201cKnight Rider,\u201d which aired from 1982 to 1986.<\/p>\n<p>Five original cars survived production, according to Autoevolution.<\/p>\n<p>The museum\u2019s version was built in 1991 by Mark Scricani of Mark\u2019s Custom Kits using original design plans, and was created to promote his business producing KITT accessories for fans.<\/p>\n<p>The museum said it has requested a hearing to dispute the ticket.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson for the New York City Department of Finance said the agency is looking into the matter.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!-- \u603b\u5bb9\u5668\uff1a\u6700\u5927\u5bbd908px Grid\u7d27\u51d1\u5e03\u5c40 -->\r\n<div style=\"display: grid;
