He brings an enthusiasm to the pitch every day to learn, to want to play, to be on the ball. He\u2019s desperate to do better, to improve and to learn. He takes constructive criticism well and I\u2019ve got a great relationship with him.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-container shareable-item wp-caption\">\n<div class=\"img-wrap\">\n\t\t<img width=\"646\" height=\"431\" src=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/GettyImages-2272526328.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=646\" class=\"article-image wp-image-28349999\" alt=\"Manchester United v Crystal Palace - FA Youth Cup\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"\/>\t<\/div><figcaption>JJ Gabriel doesn\u2019t turn 16 until October (Picture: Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u2018I do think we need to remember he is a kid and also he\u2019s been part of a really good team, and the players have helped him as well.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018But JJ has scored the goals and goals always get the limelight. He has a major future and is somebody I\u2019ve enjoyed working with immensely.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018His next steps are something people above me will decide. I thank my coaches and team-mates for helping me win this amazing award.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Since we came together as the Under-18s, we\u2019ve become a very good team. Everyone looks out for each other and we all work hard for each other. I think we\u2019ve had a very good season.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u2018I\u2019d say [the Academy] helped me mature a lot. I\u2019ve got to say you\u2019ve got to maintain working out on the training pitch every single day, giving it my all and working hard in the gym to stay fit and not get injured.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018My family have helped me a lot, through tough times and good times.
