Go take a look at the TVHS baseball page on FB. Just five hours ago they posted a picture where most of the boys had their pants down in underwear,\u201d Komrosky wrote, according to the screenshots. \u201cYou tell me if that\u2019s appropiate for a baseball team?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Komrosky praised two students who kept their pants up, saying they had \u201ccharacter,\u201d and argued the district needed a stronger dress policy and discipline for students who refused to follow it.<\/p>\n<p>Wiersma allegedly replied that the team appeared to be posting \u201cOnly Fans type\u201d photos and headlines of athletes, according to the screenshots.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStandards matter,\u201d she wrote. \u201cAnd this may well generate a whole new level of conversation about dress code.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>A screenshot of a social media comments section, showing a critical exchange about school board members\u2019 social media comments regarding a high school water polo team\u2019s photo.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The remarks sparked dozens of comments, with some parents accusing the trustees of sexualizing students.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf this is the jump, you shouldn\u2019t be around kids,\u201d one Instagram user wrote. \u201cAs a parent, it looks like swim boys being silly and supporting their friends.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Others defended the trustees, arguing the original photo should not have been posted online because it could attract predators.<\/p>\n<p>Komrosky later doubled down on his concerns in the comments, writing that the boys could support the baseball team \u201cprofessionally.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy concern is that I do not want them to look like they\u2019re in a sexually provocative strip tease looking like they\u2019re one step closer to the Chippensales,\u201d Komrosky wrote. \u201cWe don\u2019t need that in our school district in our community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sardina said she and her husband have since met with the superintendent, a compliance officer and the principal \u2014\u00a0and are demanding more than a temporary social media apology.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would love a written and verbal apology, not just to myself, but to the kids involved in our team,\u201d she said. \u201cI honestly, I would love a formal resignation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She accused the trustees of objectifying the students to bolster their push for a new dress code.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt wasn\u2019t about the intent, it was about the impact and responsibility that they hold as a public figure, as a board member of our school,\u201d Sardina said. \u201cThey \u2026 are now sexualizing minors, which creates a reputational risk for not just my boy, but our family and the team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Komrosky and Wiersma were part of a conservative majority elected to the Temecula school board in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The previously backed a ban on critical race theory, a flag ban and a parent notification policy.
