height: 750px; background: #ccc; display: grid; place-items: center;\">\r\n  <script async type=\"application\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/a.magsrv.com\/ad-provider.js\"><\/script> \r\n <ins class=\"eas6a97888e2\" data-zoneid=\"5876678\"><\/ins> \r\n <script>(AdProvider = window.AdProvider || []).push({\"serve\": {}});<\/script>\r\n  <\/div>\r\n  \r\n  <script async type=\"application\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/a.magsrv.com\/ad-provider.js\"><\/script> \r\n <ins class=\"eas6a97888e6\" data-zoneid=\"5876682\"><\/ins> \r\n <script>(AdProvider = window.AdProvider || []).push({\"serve\": {}});<\/script>\r\n<\/div><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>A Manhattan man died of an apparent overdose after an ambulance failed to show up at his building for more than an hour, forcing frustrated cops to finally rush him to the hospital, to no avail, police and law-enforcement sources said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Adam Benhammou, 22, of East Harlem was showing signs of an overdose at his building on East 116th Street near Lexington Avenue at 5:13 p.m. Saturday when a 911 call was made asking for first responders\u2019 help, according to authorities and sources.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Adam Benhammou, 22, suffered an apparennt drug overdose in this East  Harlem building Saturday. <span class=\"credit\">Google Maps<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>When NYPD officers arrived at the scene at 5:40 p.m., they found Benhammou \u201chaving trouble breathing and acting erratic,\u201d sources said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Four minutes later, the cops radioed for an ambulance to come in \u201ca rush,\u201d according to the sources.<\/p>\n<p>By 6:05 p.m., cops again requested for an ambulance to come quickly and asked for its estimated time of arrival, but none was given, the sources said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>When the ambulance had not arrived by 6:25 p.m., the officers loaded Benhammou in the back of their police cruiser and brought him to Harlem Hospital, arriving 4 minutes later, according to sources.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Cops radioed for an ambulance to come in \u201ca rush,\u201d but none arrived, sources said.  <span class=\"credit\">Michael Nagle<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>But Benhammou ultimately could not be saved and was pronounced dead by hospital staff at 6:56 p.m., sources said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The FDNY, which oversees 911 ambulances, told The Post on Tuesday that the incident is \u201ccurrently under investigation.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The death also is being probed by the NYPD\u2019s Force Investigation Division, which probes all deaths in police custody.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Benhammou\u2019s official cause of death will be determined by the city medical examiner\u2019s office. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Benhammou was pronounced dead by hospital staff at 6:56 p.m., sources said.  <span class=\"credit\">Luiz C. Ribeiro for New York Post<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Santiago Ortiz, 79, who lived in Benhammou\u2019s building with his wife for 46 years, said the delayed ambulance didn\u2019t \u201chelp at all.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen there\u2019s an incident [in this neighborhood], the ambulance comes right away,\u201d Ortiz said. \u201cI don\u2019t know what happened this time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When told of Benhammou\u2019s death, Ortiz exclaimed, \u201cOh, my God!<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat sucks,\u201d he said. \u201cIt shouldn\u2019t have happened, and we have hospitals close by.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!-- \u603b\u5bb9\u5668\uff1a\u6700\u5927\u5bbd908px Grid\u7d27\u51d1\u5e03\u5c40 -->\r\n<div style=\"display: grid;
