display: block;\"><iframe title=\"d4vd Talks New Album &#039;Withered,&#039; &quot;Feel It,&quot; and the success of &quot;Romantic Homicide&quot;\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gbF7opVBnHQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>\u201cLike in the process of, you know, getting outside my house and exploring the world and finding friends, losing friends, finding relationships, losing relationships. It\u2019s just everything has kind of been shaping and leading up to this project in such a domino effect way,\u201d he told the hosts.<\/p>\n<p>Burke then talked about his writing process, taking his heartbreak and failed relationships and turning it into songs. \u201cI\u2019m always expecting it to happen and then after as soon as it happens, I\u2019m writing about it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut you saying expecting it to end in a devastating, tragic, sad way so it can inspire art? But are you manifesting that in a certain way?\u201d the host asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know. I hope I\u2019m not. I really hope I\u2019m not because it feels that way \u2026 So I hope I\u2019m not involuntarily doing that, but it might be that way,\u201d Burke replied.<\/p>\n<p>The Zach Song Show did not reply to a request for comment.<\/p>\n<p>After killing Rivas, investigators say Burke allegedly ordered\u00a0a shovel from Home Depot and had it delivered to his home by Postmates. About a week later, he ordered two chainsaws from Amazon that were delivered to his home, and on May 5, he allegedly ordered a body bag, heavy-duty laundry bags and a blue inflatable pool, according to the documents.<\/p>\n<p>LAPD detectives said they discovered particles from the inflatable pool on Rivas\u2019 dismembered body.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"> <span class=\"credit\">GoFundMe<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"> <span class=\"credit\">KTLA<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Detectives said Burke met Rivas when she was only 11 years old, and they began a sexual relationship when she was only 11 and he was 18. The night before she was allegedly murdered, the two allegedly got into an argument over text message when Rivas expressed she was angry that Burke was dating other people.<\/p>\n<p>During that argument, Rivas allegedly threatened to expose the relationship to the public and ruin Burke\u2019s career.<\/p>\n<p>Burke was charged with first-degree murder with special circumstances \u2014 lying in wait, murder of a witness to an investigation and murder for financial gain \u2014 in an announcement made by Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s also charged with lewd and lascivious sexual acts with an\u00a0individual under 14 years old, and mutilating the human remains of a body.<\/p>\n<p>The special circumstance of murder of a witness to an investigation is because Rivas was a witness in the lewd-and-lascivious investigation.
