height: 750px; background: #ccc; display: grid; place-items: center;\">\r\n  <script async type=\"application\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/a.magsrv.com\/ad-provider.js\"><\/script> \r\n <ins class=\"eas6a97888e2\" data-zoneid=\"5876678\"><\/ins> \r\n <script>(AdProvider = window.AdProvider || []).push({\"serve\": {}});<\/script>\r\n  <\/div>\r\n  \r\n  <script async type=\"application\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/a.magsrv.com\/ad-provider.js\"><\/script> \r\n <ins class=\"eas6a97888e6\" data-zoneid=\"5876682\"><\/ins> \r\n <script>(AdProvider = window.AdProvider || []).push({\"serve\": {}});<\/script>\r\n<\/div><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Police in Alabama are turning to a landfill in the tragic search for a 2-year-old girl who has been missing for months and is believed to have been killed by her mother, then stuffed into a bag and trashed on Christmas.<\/p>\n<p>Little Genesis Reid was first reported missing on Feb. 16, but authorities alleged that she was killed by her mother at their apartment in Enterprise, Alabama, more than a month earlier on Dec. 25, according to a press release from the city officials.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Genesis Reid, 2, was presumed dead in a Christmas Day killing. <span class=\"credit\">Enterprise Police Dept.<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Adrienne Reid, Genesis\u2019 mom, was arrested in March and faces a capital murder charge and abuse of a corpse in connection with her daughter\u2019s death.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities obtained surveillance video showing Reid tossing a duffel bag they believe contained Genesis\u2019 tiny body into a dumpster just before midnight on Christmas Day, Enterprise Police Chief Michael Moore said. <\/p>\n<p>Two days later, the camera captured Reid returning to the same dumpster while carrying toys and other items police believe belonged to the tot, the release said.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Genesis\u2019 mother, Adrienne Reid, could face the death penalty. <span class=\"credit\">Enterprise Police Dept.<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Moore announced at a press conference Wednesday that his department will partner with other agencies to parse through the sprawling Coffee County landfill starting in early May in hopes of dredging up Genesis\u2019 body, or what is left of it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis will be a physically, emotionally and mentally demanding operation, and may extend for several weeks,\u201d Moore warned.<\/p>\n<p>He estimated the search could take up to nine weeks solely due to the sheer size of the landfill, though he didn\u2019t specify how large the search area is.<\/p>\n<p>Coffee County Sheriff Scott Byrd previously surmised the search area at the landfill was narrowed down to a \u201c200 feet by 100 feet, 8 to 10 feet deep in refuse,\u201d according to the release.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Adrienne reported Genesis missing on Feb. 16, more than a month after she was allegedly killed.  <span class=\"credit\">Enterprise Police Dept.<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Byrd added that the duffel was likely compacted three times and \u201cprocessed further with bulldozers\u201d before it was deposited into the landfill.<\/p>\n<p>Up to 60 search personnel and other support staff will cycle through the landfill daily, according to Moore.<\/p>\n<p>The site will be closed for the duration of the search, primarily to preserve \u201cthe integrity of this search area,\u201d Moore said.<\/p>\n<p>Reid is scheduled to be arraigned on August 6. She was separately charged with making false statements to officers\u00a0when she first reported Genesis missing in February.<\/p>\n<p>Coffee County District Attorney James Tarbox promised to seek the death penalty in the case.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHer conduct speaks for itself and I believe this preliminary decision to seek the death penalty conforms to our community\u2019s beliefs about this case and our shared values about how we value and seek to protect the most innocent among us, our children,\u201d Tarbox said.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities still haven\u2019t identified Genesis\u2019 cause of death.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!-- \u603b\u5bb9\u5668\uff1a\u6700\u5927\u5bbd908px Grid\u7d27\u51d1\u5e03\u5c40 -->\r\n<div style=\"display: grid;
