I said \u2018Let\u2019s save it for when we get up on the desk.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was guessing letter by letter, how many letters were in the name, and then right at the moment when you see it happen, I wrote down the name and said \u2018How did I do?,\u2019 and then I turned around.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Mentalist Oz Pearlman was trying to guess Karoline Leavitt\u2019s baby\u2019s name \u2014 before shots rang out at Saturday\u2019s White House Correspondents Dinner.\u00a0 <span class=\"credit\">Pool<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Before revealing the name, the headline entertainer said he was guessing a name featuring six to seven letters.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>\u201cShe goes \u2018yes,\u2019\u201d he said. \u201cAnd I then I said, you think of a V. And that\u2019s when the First Lady goes, \u2018How does he know this?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd then I write down the name, and I say, \u2018what are you naming your daughter with V?\u2019 And right, when I turn that around, you can see Weijia [Jiang, the White House Correspondents Association President] from CBS go \u2018Gasp,\u2019 and then you see the first lady go because she couldn\u2019t believe it and [Leavitt] goes \u2018That\u2019s the name of my daughter.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Footage from the event showed the entertainer ripping off a piece of paper with the name \u201cViviane\u201d wrote on it \u2013 just seconds before ducking for cover behind a table. And just by pure chance, he gets brought down. We\u2019re facing up to directions right next to me.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd I just look at him right here, and I think right that moment, I can piece it back when it happened.
