That person wasn\u2019t identified in the indictment.<\/p>\n<p>They were part of an online leadership group that planned the rally and helped coordinate transport for several others.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, an informant, identified as F-9, was allegedly paid more than $1 million by the SPLC \u2013 and stole 25 boxes of documents belonging to the neo-Nazi group National Alliance, according to the indictment.<\/p>\n<p>Another person was allegedly paid $6,000 by the SPLC to falsely take responsibility for the theft.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>President Biden, pictured delivering comments about Covid from a Delaware hotel in 2020, defeated Trump in that year\u2019s election <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>A former director of the Aryan Nations, who also was a member of the Ku Klux Klan, was\u00a0featured in the SPLC\u2019s \u201cExtremist Files\u201d \u2014 despite getting paid $70,000 between 2014 and 2016, the court docs claim.<\/p>\n<p>The organization is accused of secretly paying $19,000 to an informant \u2013 a convicted felon for cross burning \u2013 between 2016 and 2019.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>SPLC CEO Bryan Fair claimed the group was being targeted for \u201cprior use of paid confidential informants to gather credible intelligence on extremely violent groups.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Todd Blanche, the Acting Attorney General, breaking down the payments to reporters at a news conference.  <span class=\"credit\">AP<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>But, Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche told reporters the organization was not \u201cdismantling these groups.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was instead manufacturing the extremism it purports to oppose by paying sources to stoke racial hatred,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is nothing political about this indictment or this investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last October, FBI director Kash Patel severed the agency\u2019s relationship with the SPLC.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Southern Poverty Law Center long ago abandoned civil rights work and turned into a partisan smear machine,\u201d he wrote on X at the time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTheir so-called \u2018hate map\u2019 has been used to defame mainstream Americans and even inspired violence.
