Justice\u2019s internal watchdog said Thursday that it is reviewing the department\u2019s compliance with\u00a0the law mandating\u00a0the\u00a0release of the Jeffrey Epstein files.<\/p>\n<p>The review from the inspector general\u2019s office will focus on how the department collected, reviewed and redacted materials in preparation for release and its process for addressing privacy concerns that arose after the files were made public,\u00a0when Epstein survivors complained that personal information\u00a0about them was disclosed.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter Department, when officials bowed to\u00a0public pressure\u00a0and to a law from Congress to release millions of pages of records that the executive branch had initially said would not come out.
