height: 750px; background: #ccc; display: grid; place-items: center;\">\r\n  <script async type=\"application\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/a.magsrv.com\/ad-provider.js\"><\/script> \r\n <ins class=\"eas6a97888e2\" data-zoneid=\"5876678\"><\/ins> \r\n <script>(AdProvider = window.AdProvider || []).push({\"serve\": {}});<\/script>\r\n  <\/div>\r\n  \r\n  <script async type=\"application\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/a.magsrv.com\/ad-provider.js\"><\/script> \r\n <ins class=\"eas6a97888e6\" data-zoneid=\"5876682\"><\/ins> \r\n <script>(AdProvider = window.AdProvider || []).push({\"serve\": {}});<\/script>\r\n<\/div><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>WASHINGTON \u2014 A House GOP chairman is demanding the CEO of ActBlue publicly answer questions about reports that the Democratic fundraising platform loosened fraud safeguards to accept potentially \u201cfraudulent and illegal political donations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>House Administration Committee Chairman Bryan Steil (R-Wis.) extended an invitation Thursday to ActBlue boss Regina Wallace-Jones to testify on May 19.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs Chief Executive Officer of ActBlue, the Committee believes you may have information pertinent to its investigation,\u201d Steil wrote in a letter to Wallace-Jones. \u201cBased upon recent reporting, it appears that ActBlue\u2019s production to the Committee\u2019s July 2025 subpoena was deliberately incomplete.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are outstanding questions about whether and how ActBlue has remedied its \u2018fundamentally unserious approach to fraud prevention,&#8217;\u201d added Steil, citing past letters from his committee compelling lower-level officials to testify.<\/p>\n<p>ActBlue reps have maintained that the platform has \u201calways been forthcoming with Congress\u201d and denied allegations of fraud \u2014\u00a0including possible contributions from foreign donors.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>House Administration Committee Chairman Bryan Steil (R-Wis.) extended the invitation to ActBlue\u2019s Regina Wallace-Jones in a Thursday letter to testify on May 19 before his panel. <span class=\"credit\">San Francisco Chronicle via Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Along with the Oversight and Judiciary Committees, Administration\u2019s GOP members and staff have been investigating ActBlue for around two years about its shifting fraud-prevention standards in the lead-up to the 2024 presidential election.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s resulted in subpoenas for testimony from current and former ActBlue officials and attorneys \u2014 all five of whom invoked their Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination in depositions before the House Republicans last year.<\/p>\n<p>The House GOP chairmen \u2014 including Reps. James Comer (R-Ky.) and Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) \u2014 have also accused ActBlue of failing to hand over documents responsive to their probe after a bombshell New York Times report earlier this month.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cAs Chief Executive Officer of ActBlue, the Committee believes you may have information pertinent to its investigation,\u201d Steil wrote. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Covington &amp; Burling, which had been representing ActBlue in early 2025, said in one memo exposed by the report that it could be\u00a0\u201calleged that ActBlue\u00a0accepted and\/or facilitated the\u00a0acceptance of foreign national contributions into American elections.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The five ActBlue employees took the fifth 146 times after internal records, first reported by The Post, showed the left-wing fundraising juggernaut made donation standards \u201cmore lenient\u201d twice during the 2024 cycle.<\/p>\n<p>Before January 2024, the platform also allowed contributions made via credit, prepaid debit and gift cards \u2014 without requiring a Card Verification Value (CVV).<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>It could be\u00a0\u201calleged that ActBlue\u00a0accepted and\/or facilitated the\u00a0acceptance of foreign national contributions into American elections,\u201d one internal memo showed. <span class=\"credit\">Shutterstock \/ II.studio<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sued the platform on Monday after investigators in his office were able to make donations by providing CVVs while allegedly using fake identities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Committee is considering potential legislative reforms to address fraudulent and illegal political donations made using online fundraising platforms such as ActBlue,\u201d Steil noted, asking for Wallace-Jones to confirm attendance by April 30.<\/p>\n<p>A House GOP aide previously noted that all options were \u201con the table\u201d \u2014\u00a0including a subpoena for Wallace-Jones\u2019 testimony or even contempt of Congress proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>Reps for ActBlue did not immediately respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!-- \u603b\u5bb9\u5668\uff1a\u6700\u5927\u5bbd908px Grid\u7d27\u51d1\u5e03\u5c40 -->\r\n<div style=\"display: grid;
