I just wanted to walk out of here.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I don\u2019t think Mark played his usual standard, even. I think Mark struggled a little bit. He gave me quite a few chances this morning, which probably made it worse.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018If I\u2019d got on the board early it could have settled me down, but it wasn\u2019t to be.\u2019<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-container shareable-item wp-caption\">\n<div class=\"img-wrap\">\n\t\t<img width=\"646\" height=\"431\" src=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/GettyImages-2272533327.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=646\" class=\"article-image wp-image-28080835\" alt=\"Halo World Snooker Championship - Day Five\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"\/>\t<\/div><figcaption>Selby made the most of a poor outing from Jones (Picture: Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Selby agreed that it was not exactly dynamite from him on his way to a big win, but felt nerves played a part after back-to-back first round exits before this year.<\/p>\n<p>After reaching the 2023 final, where he was beaten by Luca Brecel, Selby has lost to Joe O\u2019Connor and Ben Woollaston in the last 32 in \u201924 and \u201925.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I didn\u2019t play one-visit snooker,\u2019 said Selby. \u2018I felt like I lost the white a lot in the first session. I didn\u2019t miss too many balls, I missed one or two here and there<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I was edgy at the start, which is natural.
