height: 750px; background: #ccc; display: grid; place-items: center;\">\r\n  <script async type=\"application\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/a.magsrv.com\/ad-provider.js\"><\/script> \r\n <ins class=\"eas6a97888e2\" data-zoneid=\"5876678\"><\/ins> \r\n <script>(AdProvider = window.AdProvider || []).push({\"serve\": {}});<\/script>\r\n  <\/div>\r\n  \r\n  <script async type=\"application\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/a.magsrv.com\/ad-provider.js\"><\/script> \r\n <ins class=\"eas6a97888e6\" data-zoneid=\"5876682\"><\/ins> \r\n <script>(AdProvider = window.AdProvider || []).push({\"serve\": {}});<\/script>\r\n<\/div><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>A Florida couple who claimed a fertility clinic error led the woman giving birth to a \u201cnon-Caucasian child\u201d who was not related to them said they have identified their child\u2019s biological parents, according to reports.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe results of testing delivered to us today confirm that our baby\u2019s genetic parents have been identified,\u201d Tiffany Score and Steven Mills said in a statement obtained by People on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>A Florida couple who claimed a fertility clinic error led to the birth of a \u201cnon-Caucasian child\u201d who was not related to them said they have identified their child\u2019s biological parents. <span class=\"credit\">Mara Hatfield<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Score and Mills filed a lawsuit in January against Fertility Center of Orlando and its head reproductive endocrinologist, Dr. Milton McNichol, alleging that another patient\u2019s embryo was implanted in Score\u2019s uterus in April 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The mix-up led to the birth of their now 4-month-old daughter, Shea, who is not biologically related to them, the filing alleged. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis ends one chapter in our heartbreaking journey, but it raises new issues that will have to be resolved,\u201d the statement continued. \u201cIn addition, questions about the disposition of our own embryos are still unanswered and are even more unlikely to ever be answered.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>\u201cOnly one thing is as absolutely certain today as it was on the day our daughter was born \u2014we will love and will be this child\u2019s parents forever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The couple added that they will respect the privacy of Shea\u2019s biological parents and will keep their identities \u201cconfidential.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Score and Mills filed a lawsuit in January against Fertility Center of Orlando and its head reproductive endocrinologist, Dr. Milton McNichol, alleging that another patient\u2019s embryo was implanted in Score\u2019s uterus. <span class=\"credit\">WESH2<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Score and Mills, who are both white, stored three viable embryos at the Longwood clinic in 2020 for in vitro fertilization, a process that creates embryos and stores them until pregnancy.<\/p>\n<p>Five years later, after an embryo was implanted, the couple gave birth to a \u201cbeautiful, healthy female child\u201d on Dec. 11, 2025, according to the lawsuit filed Jan. 22 in Orange County Circuit Court and obtained by Law &amp; Crime.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTragically, while both Jane Doe and John Doe are racially Caucasian, Baby Doe displayed the physical appearance of a racially non-Caucasian child,\u201d the lawsuit said.<\/p>\n<p>Further genetic testing confirmed that baby Shea had no biological relationship to either parent \u2014 raising questions about where their embryos had gone or whether another woman was impregnated with their biological child.<\/p>\n<p>The new parents had an \u201cintensely strong emotional bond\u201d with their child during pregnancy and wished to keep the girl, but recognized she \u201cshould legally and morally be united with her genetic parents so long as they are fit, able and willing to take her,\u201d the lawsuit stated.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The Fertility Clinic of Orlando announced earlier this month that it would close by May 20. <span class=\"credit\">WESH2<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Scarola told People, following Wednesday\u2019s development, that Shea\u2019s biological parents have not made any requests to take her into custody. <\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_10-0\">\u201cRemaining questions about the fate of Tiffany and Steven\u2019s unaccounted for embryos\u2026are still pending,\u201d  Scarola said.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_16-0\">\u201cThe current legal proceeding\u00a0will remain open to address those matters,\u201d the attorney added. \u201cHowever, we expect that we will now also begin to focus on the need for our clients to be compensated for the expenses they have incurred and the severe emotional trauma that they endured and will continue to experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Fertility Clinic of Orlando announced earlier this month that it would close by May 20 \u2014 a decision leadership said was made after \u201cthoughtful consideration.\u201d <\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_10-0\">Neither Scarola nor the clinic immediately responded to The Post\u2019s request for comment. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!-- \u603b\u5bb9\u5668\uff1a\u6700\u5927\u5bbd908px Grid\u7d27\u51d1\u5e03\u5c40 -->\r\n<div style=\"display: grid;
