Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) is drawing shocking parallels between extraterrestrials and the Bible in a series of viral X posts with millions of views.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRead the book of Enoch,\u201d the pol wrote in one of the posts, which is pinned to the top of her account.<\/p>\n<p>Luna, who is the acting chairwoman of the House Oversight Committee tasked with declassifying state secrets, was referring to a Jewish religious text written between 300 and 100 BC that referenced Noah\u2019s great-grandfather, Enoch.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) speaks to reporters at the US Capitol in February. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Dubbed Enoch\u2019s \u201cBook of Watchers,\u201d the divisive scripture describes how a coalition of 200 angels, known as the Watchers, arrived on Earth and procreated with human women, who later gave birth to an ancient race of giants that preceded the biblical flood.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Like a theological version of \u201cThe Day the Earth Stood Still,\u201d the Promethean beings also bestowed humanity with knowledge on forbidden subjects ranging from sorcery to arms-making.<\/p>\n<p>Often viewed as controversial, the scripture has been stricken from the standard religious canon taught by most Jews, Protestants and Catholics.<\/p>\n<p>However, Luna has repeatedly referred to this text, which she claims was omitted from the Bible to cover up info regarding ET contact during ancient times.<\/p>\n<p>Aliens may not have built the pyramids, but perhaps they interacted with Noah\u2019s great-grandad and Jesus\u2019 mom. <\/p>\n<p>The Republican\u2019s apparent Martian-related Bible stories aren\u2019t limited to the Old Testament, either. Just minutes after her initial X post, the lawmaker uploaded an image of \u201cMadonna and Child with the Infant St. John,\u201d a painting credited to Domenico Ghirlandaio that depicts the Virgin Mary praying with the baby Jesus.<\/p>\n<p>Colloquially known as \u201cOur Lady of the Flying Saucer\u201d or \u201cMadonna of the UFO,\u201d the opus has drawn attention due to the inclusion of a circular object seemingly shooting rays, which some claim is a dome-shaped spacecraft.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cMadonna of the UFO\u201d is a painting that conspiracy theorists claim depicts an extraterrestrial ship. <span class=\"credit\">X\/Anna Paulina Luna<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The cryptic series of posts had conspiracy theorists\u2019 tinfoil hats at full mast. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m glad you are bringing this to the light, I [had] already seen all these paintings and knew all about this for a while,\u201d wrote one believer. \u201cIt\u2019s awesome you are showing and talking about it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLeonardo Da Vinci knew,\u201d declared another, along with a string of alien emojis, while another proclaimed, \u201cThe truth is in plain sight!\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>This clip, part of an unclassified video taken by Navy pilots, shows interactions with \u201cunidentified aerial phenomena.\u201d <span class=\"credit\">US DoD<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Others were more skeptical, particularly concerning Luna\u2019s prescription for reading the Book of Enoch.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA book rejected as not being God\u2019s Word,\u201d scoffed one naysayer. \u201cIt was never considered to be literally the writings of Enoch. There\u2019s some truth in it, but take it all with a big grain of salt.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s comic book written thousands of years after Enoch was taken by God,\u201d said another. \u201cThere is no proof of authorship attribution to Enoch whatsoever. That\u2019s why it wasn\u2019t canonized in the Bible. Might as well tell people to read Infinity War.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n\t<\/aside>\n<p>Luna has stuck to her guns when it comes to the alleged \u201cDa Vinci Code\u201d-esque connection between extraterrestrials and the Bible.<\/p>\n<p>During a 2025 appearance on the \u201cJoe Rogan Experience,\u201d the congresswoman said that while she had not \u201cseen a spaceship personally,\u201d she had observed photo evidence of aircraft that she felt were not made by mankind and therefore have \u201chistorical significance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIs there multiple events that go back to, I would argue, maybe even before the time of Christ, that have been documented in text?\u00a0Yes,\u201d Luna declared.<\/p>\n<p>She has also encouraged people to read the Book of Enoch for background on modern UFO theories, claiming that we might\u2019ve mistaken extraterrestrials for angels.<\/p>\n<p>She feels the tradition of obfuscating ET findings persists today. Earlier this month, Luna accused the Pentagon of not meeting the April 15 congressional deadline to release 46 videos of UFOs as promised \u2014 although President Trump vowed that the\u00a0disclosure would come \u201cvery soon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Pentagon chalked up the delay to a clerical error \u2014 an excuse that did not sit well with the pol.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[I]t appears that someone did not pass the letter to the appropriate authorities.
