They had 24 hours to make this decision, and whatever allegations they had against him, it was not within their authority to act on. That\u2019s why we have laws.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He described his son, who was set to graduate high school, as a \u201cgood kid.\u201d The senior student was shot in an alleyway near a McDonald\u2019s in Clovis just weeks before graduation.<\/p>\n<p>Security video shown in court from a nearby Shop-N-Go captured Quick leaving the restaurant with friends. According to ABC30, one of his friends held the door open for the alleged suspect as they exited.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities say the 16-year-old suspect had been waiting in the area for at least 13 minutes before approaching Quick.<\/p>\n<p>The video then shows a flash as the suspect opens fire.
