The area was one of her favorite places to hike and walk, according to a new website set up to provide updates on case.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Chris said the day she vanished she was dealing with several recent losses. <span class=\"credit\">Oakland Police Department<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Since her disappearance, volunteers and loved ones have scoured the area and organized multiple search efforts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fact is that being without her medication is dangerous and that\u2019s why it\u2019s important to bring Amy home,\u201d Chris said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s no real explanation for why she has gone missing. She did not leave a note behind or any other clues.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Amy\u2019s husband said the support from the community is what is holding the family together and \u201cgiven them strength to continue,\u201d per a message from the website set up to help find his wife.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs each day goes by, it is more and more painful,\u201d Chris said. \u201cAs you can imagine, it\u2019s hard to sleep, and it\u2019s impossible to keep any kind of normal schedule.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Friends and loved ones have organized a search for Saturday. <span class=\"credit\">Instagram\/@farleyseast<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cAmy is precious to me, to her daughters, to her family and friends.
