There\u2019s no shame in staying in motion,\u201d Pintauro captioned the post.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft wp-block-nypost-editor-partner-article-links\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>In December 2024, Pintauro revealed he was\u00a0rushed to the hospital\u00a0following a Thanksgiving scooter accident.<\/p>\n<p>Pintauro shot to fame on \u201cWho\u2019s the Boss?\u201d, starring opposite Tony Danza, Judith Light and\u00a0Alyssa Milano. As Jonathan Bower, he became a fan favorite during the show\u2019s eight-season run from 1984 to 1992.<\/p>\n<p>His candid post comes after a frightening health scare that nearly turned deadly.<\/p>\n<p>Sharing a video slideshow on Instagram, the actor detailed how a bike lane he was riding in was \u201csuddenly blocked with cones,\u201d leading to a serious crash.<\/p>\n<p>His husband, Wil Tabares, drove him to the hospital, where doctors discovered the accident had caused a tear in his stomach lining \u2014 a life-threatening injury.<\/p>\n<p>According to Pintauro, the damage triggered \u201can infection in my bloodstream,\u201d while \u201cair and stomach acid, etc, were escaping into my abdomen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Calling it \u201cthe most excruciating pain I\u2019ve ever felt in my whole life,\u201d he revealed the diagnosis led to \u201cemergency surgery last night to repair the tear.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf I had waited any longer, I could have died,\u201d Pintauro shared at the time, adding that listening to his body ultimately saved his life.
