The company\u2019s board voted unanimously then to install D\u2019Amaro as the entertainment giant\u2019s next CEO.<\/p>\n<p>The new cuts were planned before D\u2019Amaro took power. The theme parks and cruise line for the company continue to grow, the Journal reported. Disney employed 231,000 people at the end of its 2025 fiscal year.<\/p>\n<p>Disney operates the famed Disney World theme park in Orlando and Disneyland in Anaheim, California.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>D\u2019Amaro took over the company from long-tenured CEO Bob Iger in February. <span class=\"credit\">Jordan Strauss\/Invision\/AP<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>D\u2019Amaro was head of Disney parks and cruises, consumer products and Walt Disney Imagineering\u00a0before he took the reins of the company. He began his career in 1998 at Disneyland.
