from LA to the Central Coast starting this Spring.<\/p>\n<p>Amtrak\u2019s Pacific Surfliner will operate additional roundtrip service for passengers hoping to travel between Los Angeles and San Luis Obispo (SLO) for both leisure and business travel starting May 4.<\/p>\n<p>These new routes will connect more riders daily from LA, Ventura, and Santa Barbara to California\u2019s Central Coast of SLO.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cExpanding Pacific Surfliner service helps strengthen regional mobility and provides travelers with more convenient options along the Central Coast,\u201d Jason Jewell, Managing wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>The new schedule includes six daily trips to Goleta, just west of Santa Barbara and three daily ones to San Luis Obispo, allowing people more travel flexibility for work or fun.<\/p>\n<p>Martin Erickson, Executive Director of the Ventura County Transportation Commission said the new \u201croundtrip strengthens Ventura County\u2019s connection to the broader Southern California rail network.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy providing more travel options during busy weekday travel periods, we\u2019re making it easier for residents and workers to move throughout the region.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Leaders in Santa Barbara county said \u201cmore rail service means more flexibility\u201d for people to get in and out of the area, noting that the additional trips are part of the passage of Measure A, a half-cent sales tax for transportation in that county.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"\/>\n<p>\u201cWith Measure A support, we\u2019re delivering on what voters asked for\u2014more options for commuting, school, and everyday travel.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 351-mile coastal corridor that makes up the Pacific Surliner connects passengers in San Diego, LA, Ventura, SB, and SLO counties, allowing for comfortable travel, free onboard Wi-Fi and more, per the
