We didn\u2019t think he was ready to come, but we\u2019d just keep abreast of it.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I saw his progress at Brugge and then, obviously, he went to Antwerp. When he broke in, it was just a matter of how long do you leave it?\u2019<\/p>\n<p>On the decision to sign him last summer, Coton added: \u2018Obviously, we\u2019d done all the due diligence and everything, and we went to present to him why we think it\u2019s the right time to move, and he had interest from a lot of clubs in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I just wanted to see his concentration levels, if, when I\u2019m talking, is he looking elsewhere? Is he looking at the video still and this, that, and the other?<\/p>\n<p>\u2018And he was just locked in. He was just locked onto me, and I\u2019m thinking, yeah, he\u2019s got a real focus.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018They [the staff] asked me: \u2018Could he go straight into the team?\u2019 I said: \u2018Yes. Straight away.
