I\u2019m so sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The NBC star gave a gut-wrenching first interview since her 84-year-old mom vanished nearly two months ago, in which she shared her overwhelming guilt related to her mom\u2019s case.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s too much to bear, to think that I brought this to her bedside\u2026 it\u2019s because of me,\u201d an emotional Guthrie told her former morning show co-host, Hoda Kotb, in the sit-down that aired Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m so sorry, Mommy. I\u2019m so sorry. \u2026 Just. I\u2019m like, so sorry. I\u2019m so sorry if it is me.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cToday\u201d anchor Savannah Guthrie spoke out in her first sit-down interview since her mom, Nancy, was reported missing on Feb. 1.  <span class=\"credit\">TODAY<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Savannah Guthrie sat with Hoda Kotb for a tell-all interview about her missing mother. <span class=\"credit\">NBC \/ TODAY<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Nancy Guthrie disappeared the night of Jan. 31 after returning home from dinner with family and was reported missing Feb. 1. <span class=\"credit\">savannahguthrie\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The full tell-all, airing in two parts on Thursday and Friday, is the first time Guthrie has been interviewed since her mom was reported missing back on Feb. 1.<\/p>\n<p>Based on eerie surveillance footage from Nancy\u2019s doorbell camera, authorities believe she was taken against her will after a masked man was caught loitering on her doorstep the evening she vanished.<\/p>\n<p>Guthrie opened up on the moment she receiving the chilling phone call from her sister, Annie Guthrie, to say their mother hadn\u2019t shown up for church \u2014 initially fearing the grandmother had suffered a medical episode.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy sister called me and I said \u2018Is everything OK?\u2019 And she said \u2018no, she said \u2018mom\u2019s missing,\u2019\u201d Guthrie said.<\/p>\n<p>Despite a $1 million reward and countless heartbreaking pleas from the Guthrie family, there has been little movement in the chilling case that quickly captivated the nation.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As the search inched closer to the two-month mark, investigators still hadn\u2019t narrowed down any suspects.<\/p>\n<p>The Pima County Sheriff\u2019s Department and FBI insisted Wednesday that investigators were still examining leads and hadn\u2019t given up.<\/p>\n<p>A tearful Guthrie, for her part, begged anyone with information to come forward.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSomeone needs to do the right thing,\u201d she said on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe needs to come home, now.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Nancy Guthrie disappeared the night of Jan. 31 after returning home from dinner with family and was reported missing Feb. 1. <span class=\"credit\">Instagram\/savannahguthrie<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Savannah Guthrie hugging her mom in an undated photo.  <span class=\"credit\">savannahguthrie\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The interview aired just as embattled Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, who has been the face of the investigation, was facing calls to resign over his handling of the probe so far.<\/p>\n<p>He has been criticized, in part,\u00a0for releasing Nancy\u2019s home as a crime scene too quickly in the early days of her disappearance, using a private DNA analysis company instead of working more closely with the FBI, and not deploying critical resources like a search plane or cadaver-sniffing dogs.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!-- \u603b\u5bb9\u5668\uff1a\u6700\u5927\u5bbd908px Grid\u7d27\u51d1\u5e03\u5c40 -->\r\n<div style=\"display: grid;
