One version features two sandworm mouths rising from a sandy lid so two people can reach in at once. Another extends a single longer worm higher above the container and adds a small working thumper that moves up and down while the popcorn disappears. Both come filled with a large serving and will sit on counters at AMC locations across the United States plus Odeon theaters in Europe.

The original Dune popcorn bucket caused so much chaos that AMC’s own executive admitted they never expected the reaction. The designs are directly inspired by the film, and this double version was specifically intended for sharing purposes. The thumper version corresponds to how the fremen use it to summon the worms across the desert; it’s a great little touch. They haven’t said how much they’ll cost yet, but specialty buckets often range between $25 and $50. The Part 2 version cost $25 at the theater and later sold for significantly more on secondary markets.

    Sale

Dash Fresh Pop Popcorn Maker, Electric Hot Air Popper, 16-Cup, Red | Popcorn Machine, Oil-Free Air Popped…

Skip the Oil, Not the Crunch: Make fresh, fluffy air popped popcorn in about 3 minutes with this hot air popcorn popper; no oil means a lighter…

16 Cups Per Batch: This 1400W hot air popcorn machine pops up to 16 cups from one Measuring Cup of kernels, so there’s plenty of fresh popcorn for…

Melt Butter While You Pop: The included Measuring Cup doubles as a Butter Melting Tray; portion your kernels, then melt butter up top so it’s ready to…

Collectors are probably already aware of the history, but for those who aren’t, the first bucket sparked a flurry of memes and jokes on the internet, with even Saturday Nite Live joining in the fun.
