The car follows the earlier Peralta S, which used an aluminum body on a mid-engine Maserati MC20 and was dedicated to Peralta\u2019s sons. The metal is installed on a carbon fiber framework that sits atop a more typical aluminum chassis and engine package, similar to what you\u2019d find in a front-engine Maserati GranTurismo. And you can tell it\u2019s a Maserati from the rear, where there are four tailpipes indicating that this car still has a nice old twin-turbo V6 under the hood. The way it\u2019s done is really wonderful; large sheets of tinted copper-colored glass sweep up into the roof, which then opens in either gull-wing parts or all at once, allowing you to easily access the front seats. The rear passengers enter through similar gull-wing doors that open up diagonally, much like Giorgetto Giugiaro did with the engine cover on the 1960s De Tomaso Mangusta. The car was designed and built by the excellent guys at GFG Style, which is the new studio Giorgetto and Fabrizio Giugiaro founded in Turin in 2015 after leaving Italdesign.
