height: 750px; background: #ccc; display: grid; place-items: center;\">\r\n  <script async type=\"application\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/a.magsrv.com\/ad-provider.js\"><\/script> \r\n <ins class=\"eas6a97888e2\" data-zoneid=\"5876678\"><\/ins> \r\n <script>(AdProvider = window.AdProvider || []).push({\"serve\": {}});<\/script>\r\n  <\/div>\r\n  \r\n  <script async type=\"application\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/a.magsrv.com\/ad-provider.js\"><\/script> \r\n <ins class=\"eas6a97888e6\" data-zoneid=\"5876682\"><\/ins> \r\n <script>(AdProvider = window.AdProvider || []).push({\"serve\": {}});<\/script>\r\n<\/div><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div style=\"padding-right:0;padding-left:0\">\n<p>Artificial intelligence poses an \u201cunprecedented\u201d threat as foreign governments turn it loose to hack computer networks and critical infrastructure, Australia\u2019s cyber security agency warned on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The Australian Signals Directorate said rapidly advancing artificial intelligence models could be of huge benefit if harnessed for good, even using some AI tools to compile its own annual \u201ccyber threat\u201d report.<\/p>\n<p>But recent months had also shown how AI was helping criminals and state-sponsored hackers launch attacks at \u201cgreater scale than ever before\u201d, the directorate said in the report.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAI has been the defining force in the cyber threat landscape over the past year, allowing malicious actors to find vulnerabilities faster and exploit them at unprecedented scale, speed and sophistication,\u201d the report read.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn recent weeks, new threats have emerged from the unintended actions of AI agents and model testing.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Global worries about the power of advanced AI tools are mounting after a string of hacking incidents involving models from leading developers such as OpenAI and Anthropic.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The report documented a stark increase in cyber security incidents.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Australian Signals Directorate issued more than 4,400 warnings about potentially malicious activity over the past year \u2014 an 80 percent increase compared to the prior 12 months.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cState-sponsored cyber actors continued to target Australian organisations primarily to gain access to sensitive or non-public information.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis activity extends beyond government networks, and includes critical infrastructure entities, private businesses and individuals.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The report said hackers linked to China, Russia and North Korea had targeted Australia or its allies in recent times.<\/p>\n<p>Defence Minister Richard Marles said the nation could not ignore the AI revolution.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAI is here and it\u2019s real. People need to engage,\u201d he told reporters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s no turning the clock back in relation to that. Malicious actors are using AI to find vulnerabilities in systems.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Marles urged Australians to update their computers and \u201charden their systems\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Governments and firms have in recent days been rushing to fix critical flaws in a programming language that runs a large share of the world\u2019s websites.<\/p>\n<p>The vulnerability was found using a powerful model from OpenAI.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!-- \u603b\u5bb9\u5668\uff1a\u6700\u5927\u5bbd908px Grid\u7d27\u51d1\u5e03\u5c40 -->\r\n<div style=\"display: grid;
