CBS News&#8217; partner network BBC News said it had confirmed the exchange.<\/p>\n<p>Burnham, who became prime minister in July, exchanged a &#8220;few messages&#8221; that were &#8220;of no significance&#8221; with the person, POLITICO quoted one of its sources as saying. The FBI launched an investigation into the incident.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The White House takes the cybersecurity of all staff very seriously, and this matter continues to be investigated,&#8221; a White House spokesperson told CBS News at the time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The exchange with Burnham raised concern inside the British government that Wiles may have been hacked again, POLITICO reported.<\/p>\n<p>The U.K. Embassy in Washington raised the incident with the White House, two of the officials told POLITICO.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This incident had nothing to do with the Chief of Staff&#8217;s devices being hacked,&#8221;
