This shouldn\u2019t happen. This is an ideology that has no place for kids.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He argued that his then-10-year-old \u2014 whose worldview is shaped by\u00a0video games\u00a0like Minecraft and Roblox \u2014 could not comprehend the permanent consequences of sex reassignment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNaturally, every kid [after a separation and autism diagnosis] will have a mental challenge,\u201d Rocha said. \u201cThe transition is a happy place. They do feel validated, they like the attention\u2026 To me, the concern is the long-term. Will they still be happy in four years from now, or six years, from having blockers and having more hormones? Is it really fixing what is underlying \u2014 the mental challenge or difficulty, whatever they\u2019re going through?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite his child being diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder just eight months ago, Rocha said the court and medical professionals \u201cslightly passed over\u201d the diagnosis during the trial.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Alexandre Rocha, a French national who has lived in Iceland for 25 years, lost custody of the child to the child\u2019s mother in December. <span class=\"credit\">GoFundMe<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>He noted that children on the autism spectrum often struggle with feeling \u201cright in their skin\u201d or \u201cwanting to be something else,\u201d adding that his child sometimes prefers to be a cat \u2014 wearing a tail or cat ears.<\/p>\n<p>However, when he raised those concerns in court, Rocha said an Icelandic endocrinologist \u201ctotally dismissed\u201d him under oath, guaranteeing the hormone drugs posed \u201cno problem\u201d and refusing to examine underlying mental health factors.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Now cut out of the medical decision-making process, Rocha said he fears what treatment his son may be receiving without his knowledge.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"\/>\n<p>\u201cIt could very well be that he is being\u00a0treated with hormones,\u00a0and I don\u2019t know anything about it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Rocha added that the child\u2019s mother is pushing a \u201cstronger ideology than ever,\u201d saying he had to use an advanced artificial intelligence (AI) program, ChatGPT, to understand terms like \u201cdeadname,\u201d which refers to a person\u2019s birth name before a sex change.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t support this kind of speech. This, to me, is diabolical. It\u2019s beyond love,\u201d he said. \u201cWhen you talk about a kid, you can\u2019t talk about death. It just doesn\u2019t make sense to me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rocha said he was notified in February that the child\u2019s mother formally changed his son\u2019s name to a female name, \u201cmeaning his ID will now clearly state he is a girl.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Despite his child being diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder just eight months ago, Rocha said the court and medical professionals \u201cslightly passed over\u201d the diagnosis during the trial.\u00a0 <span class=\"credit\">GoFundMe<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The father said he believes\u00a0the court\u2019s ruling\u00a0was not about his child\u2019s welfare, but rather a coordinated effort to silence dissent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is to control parents. It is to give all power to this ideology.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rocha\u2019s story has garnered international attention and recently caught Musk\u2019s eye.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Tesla CEO has been outspoken about transgender issues after revealing his son, Xavier, transitioned to a female and now goes by the name Vivian Jenna Wilson.<\/p>\n<p>Musk said he was \u201cessentially tricked\u201d into giving consent for Wilson to go on puberty blockers, before he had \u201cany understanding of what was going on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In response to a post about Rocha\u2019s story on popular X account @libsoftiktok, Musk said, \u201cThe woke mind virus even affects Iceland.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n\t<\/aside>\n<p>Rocha said he was \u201cvery surprised and honored\u201d that Musk shared his story.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think we have a\u00a0common fight\u00a0going on,\u201d he said. \u201cBecause at the end of the day, we\u2019re all parents, no matter the borders or nationalities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Musk did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital\u2019s request for comment.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond politics, Rocha said he misses everyday moments with his son, who he said he hasn\u2019t seen since January.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI miss story time at night and cooking together,\u201d he said, noting how much he enjoyed sharing 1990s\u00a0Steven Spielberg\u00a0movies like \u201cJurassic Park\u201d with his son.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Rocha recently requested daily fines against the child\u2019s mother for obstructing his court-ordered visitation rights.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The mother denied intentionally blocking the visits, claiming the child refuses to attend because Rocha rejects his transgender identity and does not use his new name, according to court documents.<\/p>\n<p>Rocha provided a witness affidavit alleging their last visitation went smoothly and that the child appeared happy and secure in his presence.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The Tesla CEO has been outspoken about transgender issues after revealing his son, Xavier, transitioned to a female and now goes by the name Vivian Jenna Wilson. <span class=\"credit\">AP<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>He recalled a recent visit where his son said he \u201cmissed it, to be with grandma and my sister.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you don\u2019t know what\u2019s happening on the other side, as a parent, you get really worried,\u201d Rocha said. \u201cWe are slowly drifting apart, and that\u2019s a very sad outcome of this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite pressure to stay quiet, Rocha urged other parents to trust their \u201cinstincts,\u201d speak up, and seek professional guidance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m here for my kid and for his future,\u201d he said. \u201cThat\u2019s the only thing I care about.
