Recent developments suggest that passenger rail is entering a new era, with significant federal investment in cleaner locomotives and growing momentum behind a proposed high-speed rail corridor linking some of the country\u2019s largest cities. The proposed <strong>Alto high-speed rail project<\/strong> aims to create a fully electrified rail network connecting Toronto, Montr\u00e9al, Qu\u00e9bec City, Laval, and Trois-Rivi\u00e8res.
