height: 750px; background: #ccc; display: grid; place-items: center;\">\r\n  <script async type=\"application\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/a.magsrv.com\/ad-provider.js\"><\/script> \r\n <ins class=\"eas6a97888e2\" data-zoneid=\"5876678\"><\/ins> \r\n <script>(AdProvider = window.AdProvider || []).push({\"serve\": {}});<\/script>\r\n  <\/div>\r\n  \r\n  <script async type=\"application\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/a.magsrv.com\/ad-provider.js\"><\/script> \r\n <ins class=\"eas6a97888e6\" data-zoneid=\"5876682\"><\/ins> \r\n <script>(AdProvider = window.AdProvider || []).push({\"serve\": {}});<\/script>\r\n<\/div><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div style=\"padding-right:0;padding-left:0\">\n<p>French video games giant Ubisoft on Thursday reported weaker revenues in the first quarter of its financial year, following a tough day of trading that saw its stock plunge.<\/p>\n<p>Revenue was down almost 14 percent in April-June at 268 million euros ($305 million), Ubisoft said after the Paris market closed.<\/p>\n<p>The stock had previously fallen more than 14 percent, to 4.73 euros, against a wider SBF index down 1.5 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Ubisoft\u2019s first-quarter earnings came after it reported a net loss of 1.5 billion euros in 2025-6.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNet bookings\u201d, the company\u2019s preferred revenue yardstick which excludes some deferred sales, was down slightly less in April-June, falling nine percent to 256 million euros.<\/p>\n<p>The year-on-year comparison was weighed down by the lack of a major release in the quarter to contend with last year\u2019s blockbuster \u201cAssassin\u2019s Creed Shadows\u201d, released in March, Ubisoft said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>It added that it had slightly outperformed its forecasts for the quarter.<\/p>\n<p>Bright spots for Ubisoft include the launch this month of \u201cAssassin\u2019s Creed Black Flag Resynced\u201d, a remake of one of the most popular titles in its flagship series that the company said had sold 3.5 million copies.<\/p>\n<p>It was the first title released by Vantage Studios, a new subsidiary helming Ubisoft\u2019s top franchises including \u201cAssassin\u2019s Creed\u201d, \u201cFar Cry\u201d and \u201cRainbow Six\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cBlack Flag\u201d launch was \u201can encouraging sign\u201d, chief executive Yves Guillemot said in the statement, adding that the release had \u201cexceeded the annual expectations we had\u201d in its first two weeks on sale.<\/p>\n<p>That could help power Ubisoft to a second quarter with net bookings \u201caround 370 million euros\u201d, the company said.<\/p>\n<p>It nevertheless stuck to its full-year forecast of net bookings \u201cdown by a high single-digit percentage\u201d compared to the previous financial year.<\/p>\n<p>Ubisoft also expects a \u201chigh single-digit\u201d percentage drop in its operating margin calculated according to non-IFRS accounting standards.<\/p>\n<p>As it restructures in a bid to escape the doldrums, Ubisoft in June closed studios in Canada\u2019s Winnipeg and the Serbian capital Belgrade.<\/p>\n<p>It has pressed ahead with layoffs in subsidiaries including in the Spanish city of Barcelona, where staff have walked out on strike over the job cuts in recent weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Ubisoft aims to slash its costs by at least 200 million euros in two years, on top of 300 million already targeted in recent years.<\/p>\n<p>The belt-tightening measures have not reassured investors, with the stock shedding 26 percent of its value since the start of this year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!-- \u603b\u5bb9\u5668\uff1a\u6700\u5927\u5bbd908px Grid\u7d27\u51d1\u5e03\u5c40 -->\r\n<div style=\"display: grid;
