Around a year after closing, the park said it would have no choice but to <span class=\"link\">euthanize the animals<\/span> if a relocation plan or additional funding was not secured.<\/p>\n<p>The whales will be transported from Marineland in Niagara Falls, Ontario, to accredited aquariums including SeaWorld San Antonio and San Diego, the Georgia Aquarium and the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, according to a joint statement earlier this month from the aquariums. Twenty whales have died there since 2019, The Canadian Press news agency has reported.
