Arne Slot has provided an injury update on Mohamed Salah ahead of Liverpool\u2019s Premier League clash with Brighton on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Salah was on the scoresheet in midweek as Liverpool cruised to a 4-0 win over Galatasaray to book their spot in the Champions League quarter-finals.<\/p>\n

But it was not all good news for Salah on the night, with the Egyptian forward forced off with 15 minutes remaining at Anfield.<\/p>\n

Afterwards, Slot confirmed that Salah had requested to be substituted after he \u2018felt something\u2019, but gave no further specifics on the nature of the potential injury.<\/p>\n

However, the Liverpool boss has now confirmed that Salah will be unavailable for Saturday\u2019s trip down to the south coast.<\/p>\n

\u2018It is unusual, and as a result of that, I think you can expect the outcome so not available for tomorrow,\u2019 the Dutchman confirmed.<\/p>\n

Asked about the extent of the injury, Slot added: \u2018The good thing for Liverpool, for us is that we go into an international break. <\/p>\n

\u2018The bad thing for Egypt is that he can\u2019t go there, but we are hoping also with what Mo has shown in the past that he can recover faster than what other players might in similar situations because he just takes such good care of his body, and history has shown that he can be back earlier than others. <\/p>\n

\u2018But it\u2019s only two weeks until we go again so let\u2019s hope by that time he can be back.\u2019<\/p>\n

Slot also confirmed that Joe Gomez will not be available to start after being benched in midweek against Galatasaray.<\/p>\n

\u2018Joe wasn\u2019t able to come in, we tried to postpone it as often we could [against Galatasaray], maybe a miracle can happen I told him if needed him in extra time, Slot said.<\/p>\n

\u2018He might be available tomorrow but not to start.\u2019<\/p>\n
