height: 750px; background: #ccc; display: grid; place-items: center;\">\r\n  <script async type=\"application\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/a.magsrv.com\/ad-provider.js\"><\/script> \r\n <ins class=\"eas6a97888e2\" data-zoneid=\"5876678\"><\/ins> \r\n <script>(AdProvider = window.AdProvider || []).push({\"serve\": {}});<\/script>\r\n  <\/div>\r\n  \r\n  <script async type=\"application\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/a.magsrv.com\/ad-provider.js\"><\/script> \r\n <ins class=\"eas6a97888e6\" data-zoneid=\"5876682\"><\/ins> \r\n <script>(AdProvider = window.AdProvider || []).push({\"serve\": {}});<\/script>\r\n<\/div><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div style=\"padding-right:0;padding-left:0\">\n<p>Sales of previously owned homes in the United States dropped in June, according to industry data released Thursday, as affordability worries continued to weigh on property buyers.<\/p>\n<p>Existing home sales fell by 2.4 percent on a month-on-month basis, to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.09 million, said the National Association of Realtors (NAR).<\/p>\n<p>This came as average mortgage rates ticked up.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe back-and-forth in monthly home sales activity, driven by mild fluctuations in mortgage rates, shows how sensitive home buyers are to affordability conditions,\u201d said NAR chief economist Lawrence Yun in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the median home price has hit an \u201call-time high,\u201d and that progress on long-term housing affordability could be hampered if inventory growth stalled further.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe existing home sales market remained dormant in June, amid high mortgage rates and low consumer confidence,\u201d said economist Samuel Tombs of Pantheon Macroeconomics.<\/p>\n<p>He did not expect \u201cimminent improvement\u201d and warned that sales were no longer \u201cmeaningfully constrained by a lack of supply\u201d as the number of properties for sale ticked up in June.<\/p>\n<p>Heather Long, chief economist at the Navy Federal Credit Union, flagged a divergence in home sales based on consumer wealth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSales are booming for homes that cost $1 million or more,\u201d Long said, but were \u201ca lot more modest in the middle tier and, especially, the more affordable homes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The median sales price across housing types in June was $440,600, the NAR report said.<\/p>\n<p>In that month, the popular average 30-year fixed-rate mortgage was 6.49 percent, up from 6.44 percent in May.<\/p>\n<p>But Long added: \u201cThe good news is there is strong pent-up demand for homebuying.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt least two million potential buyers are sitting on the sidelines ready to buy if they can find the right option,\u201d she estimated.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!-- \u603b\u5bb9\u5668\uff1a\u6700\u5927\u5bbd908px Grid\u7d27\u51d1\u5e03\u5c40 -->\r\n<div style=\"display: grid;
