Henman said while on commentary for the BBC. <\/p>\n<p>&#8216;There\u2019s a couple of little changing options just behind those doubles doors behind Centre Court.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;For me it\u2019s a break that you\u2019d like to get rid of, but unfortunately if it\u2019s a bathroom break, or playing in these hot climates around, which you\u2019d probably put London into it now, I think you\u2019ve always got to give the players that opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;But it does disrupt the rhythm, and therefore the momentum of these matches sometimes.&#8217;<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-container shareable-item wp-caption\">\n<div class=\"img-wrap\">\n\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"646\" height=\"431\" src=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/GettyImages-1338754965.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=646\" class=\"article-image wp-image-29030997\" alt=\"2021 US Open - Day 8\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\t<\/div><figcaption>Tim Henman wants to see rule changes regarding bathroom breaks (Picture: Getty)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Henman&#8217;s comments surrounding toilet breaks have been far from the only topic of discussion when it comes to tennis&#8217; rules at Grand Slams.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking earlier in the week, third seed Felix Auger-Aliassime urged governing bodies to change the &#8216;disgraceful&#8217; rule surrounding medical timeouts.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I think the [medical timeout] rule has to change,&#8217; he said after his win over Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I think that, obviously, as long as the rule is like that, a player will use it to their advantage.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I think that it\u2019s very simple. If you\u2019re hurt bad, or whatever you\u2019re hurt, while the game\u2019s going on of your opponent, in the middle of the game, the opponent is serving, the shot clock is on, basically when you\u2019re hurt bad, you\u2019re forfeiting every point until you can call the physio.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018If the physio helps you recover, you play your service game. If you\u2019re hurt bad, then you retire, obviously.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018But to stop in the middle of an opponent\u2019s service game, and to be able to call the physio, I think that\u2019s a disgrace of a rule.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I don\u2019t see any other sport where you can do that. I mark my words. It\u2019s a disgrace of a rule.
