The company is due to release its final earnings report at the end of the month.<\/p>\n<p>Samsung and domestic rival SK hynix are involved in a massive public-private investment of 800 trillion won to build a new semiconductor fabrication hub in the country\u2019s southwest.<\/p>\n<p>Some analysts see potential delays to AI infrastructure investment as the biggest risk to the current memory boom.<\/p>\n<p>But MS Hwang, a research analyst at Counterpoint Research, said he did not see \u201cevidence that the gap between suppliers\u2019 production capacity and customers\u2019 demand is narrowing\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile some data centre projects associated with less competitive players may be delayed, it would be an exaggeration to interpret this as a broad slowdown in AI infrastructure investment,\u201d he told AFP.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Tax windfall \u2013<\/p>\n<p>South Korea\u2019s AI semiconductor boom has also fuelled debate over what the country should do with the increase in tax revenue sparked by the success of Samsung Electronics and SK hynix.<\/p>\n<p>Presidential chief of staff Kang Hoon-sik said Sunday that the tax windfall would help finance large-scale projects around AI and the semiconductor industry.<\/p>\n<p>It would also help to reduce inequality and support young people in accessing housing, founding startups and finding jobs, he added.<\/p>\n<p>A simple jacket bearing the SK hynix logo went viral online earlier this year as a symbol of wealth and success, with parody posts depicting it as a \u201cgolden ticket\u201d to luxury boutiques or better dating prospects.<\/p>\n<p>Jobs at\u00a0Samsung\u00a0and SK hynix now guarantee \u201ca boost in marriage market value,\u201d Yonhap has reported, citing a rise in their \u201cdesirability indices\u201d compiled by\u00a0matchmaking\u00a0agency Sunoo \u2014 putting them on a par with doctors and lawyers.<\/p>\n<p>Analyst Hwang said Samsung\u2019s Tuesday estimate was a \u201cvery reasonable provision\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile bonus accruals and losses in the set business may weigh on earnings, memory profits alone are likely to be substantial,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!-- \u603b\u5bb9\u5668\uff1a\u6700\u5927\u5bbd908px Grid\u7d27\u51d1\u5e03\u5c40 -->\r\n<div style=\"display: grid;
