height: 750px; background: #ccc; display: grid; place-items: center;\">\r\n  <script async type=\"application\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/a.magsrv.com\/ad-provider.js\"><\/script> \r\n <ins class=\"eas6a97888e2\" data-zoneid=\"5876678\"><\/ins> \r\n <script>(AdProvider = window.AdProvider || []).push({\"serve\": {}});<\/script>\r\n  <\/div>\r\n  \r\n  <script async type=\"application\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/a.magsrv.com\/ad-provider.js\"><\/script> \r\n <ins class=\"eas6a97888e6\" data-zoneid=\"5876682\"><\/ins> \r\n <script>(AdProvider = window.AdProvider || []).push({\"serve\": {}});<\/script>\r\n<\/div><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div style=\"padding-right:0;padding-left:0\">\n<p>Asian stocks rose Friday as tech firms enjoyed a much-needed reprieve from the heavy selling of recent weeks, with a big miss on US jobs creation soothing worries over a Federal Reserve interest rate hike.<\/p>\n<p>Regional markets have been in traders\u2019 firing line for some time as the prospect of higher borrowing costs \u2014 fuelled by a fresh inflation spike \u2014 and concerns about extended valuations have sparked questions about how far the AI equity boom has to run.<\/p>\n<p>That has seen chip firms such as South Korea\u2019s SK hynix and Japan\u2019s Kioxia plunge from record highs, along with benchmark indexes in Seoul and Tokyo.<\/p>\n<p>But the selling paused on Friday as investors welcomed data showing the US economy added less than half the jobs than forecast in June, while figures for the previous two months were also revised down.<\/p>\n<p>The readings suggested the labour market was not as strong as previously thought, and gives the Fed some breathing room to hold off an expected rate hike for now.<\/p>\n<p>Speculation has grown since the central bank\u2019s June policy meeting that it will announce an increase this year as new boss Kevin Warsh said price stability was his key goal, citing persistently elevated inflation.<\/p>\n<p>In early trade, Seoul\u2019s Kospi was up more than two percent \u2014 having tanked around 20 percent from its June 19 record high \u2014 boosted by rallies in SK hynix and Samsung.<\/p>\n<p>Tokyo was also up, along with Hong Kong, Shanghai, Sydney, Singapore, Wellington and Manila.<\/p>\n<p>However, the likelihood of a hike before the end of the year remains.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot long ago the Fed had an easing bias which was primarily fuelled by concerns over the labour market,\u201d wrote Rodrigo Catril at National Australia Bank.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRecent improvement in payrolls alongside higher inflation shifted the Fed bias towards neutral with the new Fed Chair emphasising the need for the Fed \u2018to re-commit to deliver price stability\u2019.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe US labour market today is not strong enough to instigate rate hikes but importantly is no longer a handbrake or impediment to hikes, leaving the Fed solely focused on the other side of its mandate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn other words, getting inflation down after five years of overshoot and six months of more recent core reacceleration.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The gains in Asia followed a mixed day on Wall Street, where the Nasdaq sank 0.8 percent but the Dow jumped more than one percent on the last day before a long Independence Day weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Analysts said the retreat in tech plays was unsurprising considering the eye-watering gains they have made over the past two years, while traders were rotating from the sector into other industries where bargains can be found.<\/p>\n<p>The dollar held the losses seen in the wake of the jobs data as investors lowered their rate expectations, while non-yielding gold \u2014 which benefits from lower interest rates \u2014 climbed towards $4,200 for the first time in two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Oil prices edged up but held recent losses fuelled by increased traffic through the Strait of Hormuz and on hopes for progress in US-Iran talks.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Key figures around 0230 GMT \u2013<\/p>\n<p>Tokyo \u2013 Nikkei 225: UP 0.7 percent at 69,243.68 (break)<\/p>\n<p>Seoul \u2013 Kospi: UP 2.8 percent at 7,864.09<\/p>\n<p>Hong Kong \u2013 Hang Seng Index: UP 1.8 percent at 23,464.43<\/p>\n<p>Shanghai \u2013 Composite: UP 0.3 percent at 4,041.74<\/p>\n<p>Dollar\/yen: UP at 161.15 yen from 161.12 yen on Thursday<\/p>\n<p>Euro\/dollar: UP at $1.1438 from $1.1429<\/p>\n<p>Pound\/dollar: UP at $1.3357 from $1.3345<\/p>\n<p>Euro\/pound: DOWN at 85.64 pence from 85.65 pence<\/p>\n<p>West Texas Intermediate: UP 0.3 percent at $68.91 a barrel<\/p>\n<p>Brent North Sea Crude: UP 0.4 percent at $72.07 a barrel<\/p>\n<p>New York \u2013 Dow: UP 1.1 percent at 52,900.07 (close)<\/p>\n<p>London \u2013 FTSE 100: UP 1.7 percent\u00a0at 10,652.87\u00a0(close)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!-- \u603b\u5bb9\u5668\uff1a\u6700\u5927\u5bbd908px Grid\u7d27\u51d1\u5e03\u5c40 -->\r\n<div style=\"display: grid;
