The work started, and then just stopped,&#8221; Shelley said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;Then we saw he was in Lanzarote on holiday with our money.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;He would disappear for weeks and then come back with excuse after excuse.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">They had hoped work from Williams would make their lives easier, providing a spacious kitchen area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">But instead, it ruined their happy lifestyle, Shelley added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The first sign the job was not up to scratch was when one of the walls started to wobble when pushed. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Then one night, after the roof had been worked on, rainwater began pouring into the house. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Shelley had been caring for her husband, who has Alzheimer&#8217;s disease<span class=\"visually-hidden ssrcss-i2z2ig-VisuallyHidden e16en2lz0\">, <!-- -->external<\/span>. She said: &#8220;I was up in the middle of the night collecting water in buckets while trying to look after my husband.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;I didn&#8217;t have enough buckets. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;I was in tears. I was constantly in tears.
