ADRs allow U.S. investors to trade shares of foreign companies on American exchanges.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SK hynix said proceeds from the offering would be used to fund chip facilities \u2014 including its first fab at South Korea\u2019s Yongin semiconductor cluster, an advanced packaging facility in Cheongju, and chipmaking equipment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe anticipate that the ADR listing will broaden our investor base, ultimately enabling a proper valuation of our corporate value, and further elevate our status as a global company by expanding our presence in the US, the epicenter of AI technological innovation,\u201d it said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company filed an application with the US Securities and Exchange Commission in March to begin the listing process.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Its shares in Seoul have skyrocketed more than 300 percent this year, and its market value topped $1 trillion for the first time in May.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Monday, it briefly overtook rival Samsung Electronics as South Korea\u2019s most valuable listed company by market capitalization.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Along with Samsung, SK hynix is supplying advanced high-bandwidth memory (HBM) components to US industry titan Nvidia for its cutting-edge \u201cVera Rubin\u201d AI platform, which is expected to further boost the technology\u2019s capabilities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Massive demand has led to a global shortage of the memory chips made by SK hynix and Samsung Electronics, whose workers\u2019 union recently agreed a deal on bonuses after threatening to strike.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To address the shortage, \u201cwe will double our total production capacity (of silicon wafers) within the next five years\u201d, Chey\u00a0Tae-won, chair of SK hynix\u2019s parent company, told reporters in Taiwan this month.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, Chey also reiterated his prediction that memory shortages could persist until 2030.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!-- \u603b\u5bb9\u5668\uff1a\u6700\u5927\u5bbd908px Grid\u7d27\u51d1\u5e03\u5c40 -->\r\n<div style=\"display: grid;
