Another is registered to vote in Texas. According to Altavilla, her brother established residency out of state years ago, but election mail continues arriving at the family\u2019s Los Angeles address.<\/p>\n<p>For Altavilla, the continuing stream of election mail illustrates what many homeowners describe as a growing disconnect between where people actually live and where ballots continue to be sent.<\/p>\n<p>Those concerns are now colliding with a growing legal battle over California\u2019s voter rolls.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"embed-wrapper twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">@AaronBlake my six kids have all moved notified the state and re-registered to vote in their new counties and we STILL receive a TON of ballots for all of them for every election!! <\/p>\n<p>Some people wouldn\u2019t think twice about using all these ballots to cast more votes! <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/uYu61kjWkb\">pic.twitter.com\/uYu61kjWkb<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Tiffany \u2764\ud83c\uddfa\ud83c\uddf2 (@Tiffs_Notes) June 4, 2026<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Days before the June 2 primary election, Judicial Watch filed a federal lawsuit against California Secretary of State Shirley Weber, alleging the state has failed to properly maintain voter registration records as required under the National Voter Registration Act.<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit, filed on behalf of Orange County Supervisor Don Wagner and the American Independent Party of California, centers on 873,092 inactive voter registrations that remain on California\u2019s rolls.<\/p>\n<p>According to the complaint, 326,608 registrations have been inactive for at least three federal election cycles, roughly six years.
